The UAE NURSING & MIDWIFERY COUNCIL with support from the Ministry of Health  and Prevention, organized the: 

 “UAE NMC 3rd Annual Scientific Committees Forum”

On 18th January 2018 at the Training and Development Center - Sharjah 

The forum was organized to celebrate and recognize the excellent work of the members of the UAE Nursing and Midwifery Scientific Committees, and to bring members of these committees and the board members of the council and stake holders together to acknowledge their contributions and to share achievements and identify challenges and to envision the future.  

The goal of this event is to:

1. Highlight the history and development of each scientific committee
2. Share experiences and achievements
3. Identify challenges and agree on priorities 
4. Engage in envisioning session to imagine the future
5. Agree on main strategic directions for 2018- 2019
 
This event was attended by more than (50) members of UAE NMC, CNOs and nursing leaders from all MOHAP, SEHA, ENA, DHA, DHCC, Education entities, Private sector and other Business Entities.  

The Council was established by a Cabinet resolution in 2009 to unify standards of nursing and midwifery registration, education and practice, and was officially launched in March 2010.  Since then, the Council, led by a representative board with membership from all relevant regulatory, health care and educational entities, has made significant accomplishments, and the Council board is calling for this conference to review progress, share ideas and experiences, and celebrate successes.
